36~Elite is the brainchild of Greenville's own Brandon Bennett. He has always been involved with children and involved in the community. He decided to combine his compassion for athletics and fitness and his desire to help others be the best they can be to form 36~Elite.
Brandon's Quick Bio
Brandon Bennett was born 1973, in Greenville, SC. He attended Riverside Highschool, where he was a 3 sport letterman (1987-1991) - track and field, basketball, and football. In Track, Brandon was the South Carolina state Champion in both the long jump and triple jump and runner up (2nd place) in the 110 meter hurdles. In Basketball, he was a 2 year starter and helped lead the team to the state championship where they secured the state runner -upposition . In Football, Brandon was named South Carolina Player of the Year, Shrine bowl MVP, Rated the #2 Runningback in the country. Brandon ended his highschool career by being awarded a full Football Scholarship to the University of South Carolina. (1991-1995)
Brandon went on to become a 4 year starter at USC. He holds the school record for the most yards in a game by runningback(East Tennesse State University 1991 with 278 yards). He also holds the spot as the 2nd leading rusher in USC history with 3576, only trumped by George Rogers, the Heisman Trophy winner.
Brandon went on to play in the NFL for teams such as the Chicago Bears, Miami Dolphins, Cincinnati Bengals, and the Carolina Panthers. (1995-2005)
Brandon's longest stint was with the Bengals, where he holds records for the most receiving yards by a runningback with 3 catches for 119 yards (1998)
In 2003, he was awarded the "Good Guy" award by the writers in the NFL for his work in the community and with charitable services.
In 2004 he was inducted into the University of South Carolina Hall of Fame.
In 2011, he was honored as a SEC Legend (Southeastern Conference football legend)
Brandon is married with 2 boys and lives in the Mauldin area.
